Job description

Based in Houston, STUDIO RIVERA is a multidisciplinary creative studio working across marketing, design, and storytelling for clients in hospitality, interiors, art, lifestyle, and culture.

We are looking for an Account Coordinator to join our team and support the day-to-day work across a growing portfolio of design-led and luxury clients. Working closely with our Creative Director and creative team, you’ll play a central role in bringing ideas to life and shaping how our clients tell their stories and connect with the world.

We are a small, collaborative studio with a genuine curiosity for the world around us. Research, conversation, and the exchange of ideas are an important part of how we work. We pay attention to what is happening across design, food, hospitality, fashion, art, travel, and culture — not simply to follow what is current, but to develop a stronger point of view and bring greater context to the work we create.

Social media sits at the center of the role, with responsibilities spanning content planning and publishing, community engagement, account management, research, asset organization, and production support. Through this work, you’ll play a central role in how our clients tell their stories and connect with the world.

Studio life moves quickly. On any given day, you may be preparing content for a restaurant, researching references for a luxury brand, coordinating an upcoming shoot, curating a content calendar, gathering inspiration for a new concept, or helping move a larger creative project forward. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that pace and is comfortable moving between clients, disciplines, and priorities while remaining thoughtful and highly organized.

Much of our work exists within the luxury and design space, where taste, restraint, and attention to detail matter. The right person understands the importance of how a brand looks, speaks, and presents itself, and is interested in developing a deeper understanding of the worlds our clients occupy.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, observant, proactive, engaged, and highly accountable. Someone who enjoys research, contributes to conversation, brings references and ideas to the table, and wants to understand the thinking behind the work— not only the task at hand. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment. It requires initiative, adaptability, strong communication, and an ability to move between creative thinking and execution.

Above all, we’re looking for someone who cares about the work and is excited to grow with Studio Rivera— someone who wants to learn, contribute, and take on greater responsibility as the studio evolves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned client social media accounts, from content planning and publishing to community engagement.
  • Own and maintain social media calendars, coordinating content, captions, assets, approvals, and schedules to keep accounts moving forward.
  • Develop thoughtful, on-brand social content including captions, Instagram Stories, graphics, and short-form video.
  • Support content production from planning through execution, including research, moodboards, shot lists, on-site content capture, and asset organization.
  • Conduct ongoing research across hospitality, design, art, fashion, travel, and culture to inform creative concepts and brand storytelling.
  • Contribute to creative conversations and ideation, bringing references, observations, and ideas to the team.
  • Support broader creative and marketing projects including campaigns, email marketing, newsletters, presentations, and digital assets.
  • Support client communication, meetings, approvals, scheduling, and follow-up while coordinating with internal team members and creative collaborators.
  • Maintain organized client and studio systems, proactively monitoring timelines, anticipating needs, and flagging potential issues before they affect a deliverable.
  • Ensure work is accurate, considered, and aligned with each client’s voice, visual identity, and established creative direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or a fast-paced creative agency or studio environment. Relevant internship experience is welcomed.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines at once.
  • Proactive and self-directed, with a willingness to take ownership, anticipate needs, and follow through on responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of brand voice, tone, and storytelling.
  • A strong visual sensibility and genuine interest in hospitality, interiors, art, design, lifestyle, and luxury brands.
  • Curious and culturally engaged, with an interest in research and a willingness to contribute ideas, references, and perspectives to creative conversations.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and contributing positively to a small, fast-moving studio environment.
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Figma, with familiarity across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, Google Workspace, and email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Flodesk is a plus.
  • Based in Houston and available to work in person, with occasional evening or weekend availability for shoots, events, or client needs.

You don’t need to come in knowing everything — we value curiosity, initiative, good judgment, and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.

What STUDIO RIVERA Offers

We believe the same sense of hospitality and curiosity that shapes our client work should extend to the people within our studio. We want STUDIO RIVERA to be a place where talented people can build meaningful careers, experience new things, and continue developing their own point of view.

  • Competitive compensation with meaningful opportunities for growth and promotion as the studio evolves.
  • A culture that actively invests in professional and personal development, including classes, courses, books, materials, and other resources that support your growth.
  • Opportunities for domestic and international travel through studio research and development trips, giving our team firsthand exposure to new places, ideas, hospitality, design, food, art, and culture.
  • Thoughtful team experiences throughout the year, from destination retreats and cultural outings to experiencing some of the restaurants and hospitality concepts shaping the industry today.
  • Hands-on exposure to ambitious, design-led and luxury brands, with opportunities to learn across disciplines and take on greater responsibility over time.
  • A close-knit studio environment where your ideas are heard, your contributions are visible, and your growth is something we are willing to invest in.
  • A creative workspace in Houston’s River Oaks neighborhood.
  • Paid time off, studio holidays, and additional employee benefits

Please ensure your application is written in English and contains a CV, portfolio and personal letter.

  • Applications must be sent to careers@studiorivera.co to be considered. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Creative Director.
