As a Waste & Recycling Operations Team Member, you'll play a vital role in keeping the Resort moving while helping us reduce waste, increase recycling, and support our environmental sustainability and carbon reduction goals. ♥

Qualifications & Experience
What You'll Do
You'll help keep our waste and recycling operations running like a well-oiled machine! ⚙
Collect, sort, transport, and process waste and recyclable materials throughout the Resort.
Make sure waste streams are properly separated, handled, and disposed of safely and responsibly.
Keep waste and recycling containers clean, functional, and guest-ready - even when they're behind the scenes!
Safely operate assigned route vehicles and trailers while following all Resort speed, traffic, and safety requirements.
Inspect vehicles and perform basic maintenance to help keep equipment operating reliably.
Operate and maintain 35-yard waste compactors and vertical downstroke cardboard balers after completing required training.
Keep service pads and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and operationally ready.
Use equipment such as pressure washers when needed to maintain clean and safe work areas.
Partner with departments across the Resort to deliver World Class service and create positive experiences for both guests and fellow Model Citizens.
Help drive sustainability by supporting responsible waste practices that benefit both the environment and the Resort's bottom line.
Follow all safety procedures, environmental standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Education
High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
This Role Keeps You Moving!
This is an active, hands-on position - you'll be moving throughout the Resort and working in a variety of environments.
You'll need to be able to:
Stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods.
Frequently lift, move, and transport waste and recycling containers weighing up to 75 pounds using designated truck route trailers.
Maneuver and handle compacted cardboard and shrink-wrap bales using a pallet jack.
♻ Sort, handle, and unload recyclable materials into designated storage containers.
✍ Complete required documentation accurately.
Read detailed documentation and safely operate vehicles and equipment.
Communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and over two-way radio - including during routine and emergency situations.
Where You'll Work
No two days are exactly the same!
You'll work across a variety of:

Wet and humid areas
Different walking and working surfaces
Back-of-house and service areas throughout the Resort
You'll need to be comfortable working in changing conditions while always putting safety first!
Important Requirements
To keep our operations safe and successful, you'll need to:
Have a valid Florida Driver License and a safe driving record.
Provide proof of insurance in accordance with company requirements.
Safely operate an F-150 truck with an attached trailer as part of your assigned route.
CDL is not required!
Be at least 18 years old to perform truck route responsibilities.
Maintain reliable attendance - it's an essential part of this role!
Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules based on operational needs.
Follow verbal and written instructions while adapting to a fast-paced environment.
Prioritize assignments and manage your time effectively.
♻ Be comfortable handling various waste and recyclable materials while following safety, environmental, and sanitation standards.
Successfully train to safely operate and maintain waste compactors and cardboard balers.
