The Wabash Valley Surgery Center is a 28,000-square-foot facility that is a state-of-the-art surgery facility and is the premier outpatient surgery center in the Wabash Valley. The physicians who use the surgery center perform an estimated 11,000 surgical cases and procedures per year in eight operating rooms and four procedure rooms.

The Radiology Tech Wabash Valley Surgery Center is an essential role that combines technical imaging expertise with patient-focused care in a collaborative clinical environment.
You would ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering compassionate patient-centered care..
This role reports to the MANAGER OF IMAGING SERVICES.
Essential & valuable skills gained (in this unit or in this department):
·  Build strong imaging, patient positioning, and equipment operation skills across modalities.
·  Develop clinical judgment, safety awareness, and effective communication with care teams.

Essential Job Duties:
·  Efficiently completes procedures, adapts to changes, and undertakes tasks.
·  Demonstrates expertise in patient positioning, equipment adjustment, image processing, and history gathering.
·  Displays competence in technical duties, adheres to safety measures, and engages in education.
·  Upholds confidentiality, exercises decision-making skills, and communicates effectively.
·  Maintains equipment, supplies, patient priorities, follows policies, and pursues ongoing education; embraces new responsibilities, offers suggestions, and collaborates during exams; demonstrates punctuality, participates in meetings, and follows attendance protocols.
 

Qualifications:
·  Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Radiology technical training program.
·  Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills for interactions with diverse individuals.
·  Adaptable to a flexible work schedule aligned with departmental needs.
 

Licenses / Certifications:
·  Holds licensure from the ISDOH and ARRT.
·  Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT eligible.
·  Holds CPR certification.
