Role Overview

The Fabrication Manager supervises a team of welders and fabricators who work on the necessary component parts of a piping fabrication that supports the organization's production goals and objectives while meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.? 


Lead Responsibilities

  • Personal integrity, leadership skills, and communications ability to inspire optimum performance among a diverse set of employees.? 


Responsibilities

  • Directs entire fabrication production workflow.
  • Oversees interpretation of drawings/specification.
  • Demonstrates understanding of core welding technologies and educates team.
  • Interfaces with various levels in the organization and shares information as required.
  • Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
  • Maintains accurate records and metrics.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops fabrication staff; manages schedules and workflow.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or required. 

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. College degree preferred.  
  • Certified in welding, forklift certification.  
  • 5+ years or more of experience in fabrication supervision in same/similar industry or role. 
  • 1 + years successfully managing a team of employees.  
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.  
  • Expert level distribution-specific ERP systems skills.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].  
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.  
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.  
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.  
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
