Job description

Amazon MGM Studios International Originals seeks a Sr. Creative Executive. You will have experience in both development and production, and the ability to identify material and talent and guide top-level writers, directors, and producers in the creation of concepts, outlines, scripts, cuts, and other material. Using your comprehensive knowledge of top tier film and premium television talent across Chile, Argentina, and Colombia, you will build on your previous industry relationships and develop new ones. You will be joining a self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative team environment. This position will be based in Miami.
Key job responsibilities
Convey Amazon MGM Studios CLARCO Originals strategy among top industry players in Chile, Argentina, and Colombia; support relationship management to ensure positive and professional interaction.
Exercise creative and business judgement, especially in spotting the potential in ideas.
Seek out and recommend format proposals, scripts, and pitches.
Work with writers and creators to develop stories and scripts for Amazon Studios' CLARCO Originals slate.
Build and manage relationships with creators, directors, writers, producers, production companies, and artist representatives across the territory.
Have a strong working knowledge of, and experience with, production companies and creatives in Latin America.
Manage all creative and logistical aspects of development, pre-production, production, post-production, and launch.
Liaise with other departments including Marketing, Publicity, Research, Digital, Social, and Business and Legal Affairs.
Support interactions between the CLARCO Originals department and all other Amazon MGM Studios departments in the region.
Support new voices within the TV and film landscape for CLARCO Prime Video customers.
Participate in internal status reports, business, and Greenlight meetings pertaining to CLARCO Originals.
Maintain a keen understanding of trends, social issues, and current events of interest to Chilean, Argentine, and Colombian audiences and constantly iterate on ways to address these through our Originals programming.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of creative executive experience
- 5+ years of series development experience
- 7+ years of unscripted development and current programming in network/studio and production company roles experience
- Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
- Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development production and post production
- Experience using English and Spanish communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience leading creative development of scripted projects end-to-end, including guiding writers and directors through outlines, scripts, and cuts
- Experience working as a producer, creative executive, or a similar role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving high performance content and growth within a world class content company
- 10+ years of executive level in development at a studio, network or production company experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
