Sr. Software Developer - AWS/Java/Angular

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the ongoing modernization of a complex, cloud-based enterprise platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on large-scale systems-balancing new development with stabilization of existing applications.
You'll collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions, improve system design, and help drive consistency across services in a distributed environment.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and develop microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript
  • Build and support RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations
  • Contribute to front-end updates, including Angular upgrades and modular UI architecture
  • Develop solutions in AWS using containerization, serverless compute, and managed data services
  • Identify and reduce technical debt, including framework and dependency upgrades
  • Implement automated testing to improve reliability and release confidence
  • Partner with DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (containers, serverless, or infrastructure as code)
  • Expertise in Java/Spring Boot and API development
  • Experience with Angular (modern versions)
  • Background in microservices architecture and system modernization
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
Engineering Environment
  • Modern microservices architecture with ongoing legacy modernization
  • Cloud-native development in AWS
  • Strong emphasis on scalability, observability, and maintainability
