Aquila Technology is looking for a highly skilled Software Developer to support one of the nation’s leading defense research organizations. The  team is looking for a software developer with a strong C++ object-oriented programming background who will join a team of software developers, system engineers, and algorithm developers who are rapidly prototyping advanced sensor control and signal processing systems. Software will be developed within a modern, object-oriented, modular open-systems architecture primarily utilizing C++, Linux, and publish-subscribe middleware. Challenging development activities will directly contribute to the prototyping of advanced Electro-Optical/Infrared control systems and may involve field testing of said systems. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets. Clearance Level: Candidates must have an active Secret clearance in order to be considered for this position due to the nature of the work. Work Location: This position is HYBRID. The individual will be required to be onsite 2-3 days a week. Candidates are expected to be local at the time of the start of the assignment. Final schedule TBD by hiring manager.
