Receptionist

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) offers a variety of services, with many of them provided onsite at a PACE Center. PACE is an alternative to nursing home care and – through an interdisciplinary care team (IDT) of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, therapists, van drivers, and aides – coordinates and provides preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care services, so older individuals can continue living in the community.

Are you a friendly and organized professional with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? If so, we'd love for you to join our team as a Receptionist at Senior Care Partners P.A.C.E. (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Answering phone calls promptly, managing call volume, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Front Desk Management: Monitoring activity at the center, ensuring no participant leaves unattended, and managing visitor logs for safety and security.
  • Participant Support: Maintaining participant records, producing name tags with color-coded cognitive levels, and preparing materials for new participants entering the program.
  • Organizational Support: Keeping participant and caregiver mailing lists updated, assisting with mail distribution, and supporting the transportation team when needed.
  • Package Handling: Signing for and distributing incoming packages to the appropriate departments.
  • Communication & Coordination: Mails communications, records messages accurately, and ensures proper follow-up as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in a clerical position or completion of a secretarial program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in reception duties, with a strong organizational background.
  • Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational skills, and proficiency with computer software and telecommunications.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service, manage multiple priorities, and handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Experience with Elderly Population: At least one year of experience working with the elderly, frail, or long-term care populations is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • A fast-paced, dynamic, and supportive environment where you will interact with staff, participants, and their families regularly.
  • Frequent interruptions and pressure from multiple calls or emergency situations are part of the role.
  • Fully on-site position with potential overtime or call-ins during emergencies.

  • Must be fully vaccinated or willing to become vaccinated against:
  • Influenza, MMR, Varicella, Tdap/Td, COVID-19, and Hepatitis B
  • Must meet CMS competency standards prior to working independently
  • Must be willing to work beyond normal hours
  • Comfortable working in varied home environments and all weather conditions
