Join Our Team as a Server at Sushi Q Elkridge!

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, vibrant environment? Sushi Q Elkridge, located in Elkridge, MD, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team! As a Japanese Restaurant Server, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable moments for our guests while showcasing your hospitality skills in a fine dining setting.

What You’ll Do

As a Server at Sushi Q Elkridge, your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming Guests: Greet diners warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit.
  • Order Management: Take accurate orders using our POS system, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
  • Menu Guidance: Recommend menu items and upsell beverages or desserts to enhance the guest experience and boost sales.
  • Efficient Service: Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to proper food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Team Support: Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment.
  • Guest Relations: Address guest questions, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure overall satisfaction.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic setting and has a passion for hospitality and authentic Japanese cuisine.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of restaurant experience. Experience in Asian cuisine or fine dining is a plus, but not required if you’re a quick learner.
  • Customer Service Skills: A welcoming attitude and excellent communication abilities.
  • POS Proficiency: Familiarity with POS systems is a bonus.
  • Time Management: The ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Upselling Techniques: Experience with upselling to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue.
  • Basic Math Skills: For cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.

You must also be authorized to work in the US.
