Our practice, New York Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery , is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Sterilization Technician to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and sterile environment for our patients and surgical team. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and equipment to support seamless oral surgery procedures.
What You'll Do:
The Sterilization Technician will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Oral Surgeons throughout various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
-Use ultrasonic cleaners, autoclaves, chemical disinfectants, and other sterilization methods to ensure all
surgical instruments are properly sanitized
-Track and manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring everything is clean, sterile, and ready for use
-Thoroughly clean and disinfect instruments, treatment areas, and equipment before and after each patient
procedure
-Adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA, CDC, and industry safety regulations
-Perform regular checks to ensure the sterility of instruments and equipment Document sterilization -
processes and maintenance logs
-Assist in setting up surgical trays, instruments, and materials for procedures
-Monitor and schedule maintenance for sterilization equipment to ensure proper functionality
-Work closely with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless workflow and a safe environment
for both patients and staff
-Perform any and all other duties as assigned

-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials preferred, but willing to train the right
candidate
-Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures
