A well-established specialty contractor serving the Florida market is looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of structural steel and metal fabrication and installation projects. With over 15 years of success in commercial and industrial construction, this company is growing and needs an experienced PM who can own projects end-to-end — from pre-construction through close-out — while building strong client and trade partner relationships. If you thrive in a performance-driven environment, know steel construction inside and out, and want to work on meaningful projects with a team that gets things done.

  • Anticipate $90,000–$110,000+ depending on experience
  • Full suite of benefits, PTO/Vacation
  • Location: On-site in the Palm Beach, FL area; up to 25% travel to project sites

Role:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans for structural steel and metal construction projects
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities including shop drawing reviews, submittals, and RFIs
  • Review and negotiate project contracts, supplier agreements, and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Monitor and control project costs; prepare progress reports and manage change orders
  • Lead, mentor, and support site superintendents, foremen, and field crews
  • Serve as the primary client contact and manage relationships with GCs, engineers, estimators, and other project stakeholders
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across all job sites
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee project close-out including punch lists, final inspections, and warranty documentation

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • PMP certification a plus
  • 10+ years of project management experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Deep knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection practices
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications independently
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Planner, Bluebeam, or equivalent PM tools
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and construction safety standards
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
