Position Summary

The Associate Manager, Display Ops supports the end-to-end coordination, production, and performance tracking of in-store display programs across all retail channels. This role partners closely with multiple cross-functional partners to deliver displays that maximize brand visibility, drive incremental sales, and reach stores on time and on budget. Success requires strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to keep multiple projects moving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

  • Lead retail display programs from intake and kickoff through development, launch readiness, and in-store delivery.
  • Maintain project timelines, milestones, and dependencies across multiple programs and customers.
  • Identify risks early and drive resolution through the right cross-functional channels.

Display Strategy & Sales Support

  • Support seasonal and annual display strategy for the writing instruments portfolio.
  • Translate brand plans into display vehicles such as PDQs, sidekicks, clip-strips, shippers, and feature bins.
  • Coordinate renders, planograms, and cost estimates, and maintain the Standard Display Program for sales teams.

Production & Cost Management

  • Ensure designs meet retailer guidelines, brand standards, and operational requirements.
  • Confirm customer orders ahead of production purchase to align quantities with demand and avoid over-ordering.
  • Coordinate production samples and get them to Sales for customer review and approval.
  • Track display costs against budget and flag variances early.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the central point of contact for assigned display projects.
  • Support creative direction, product assortment, and seasonal storytelling for each program.
  • Align timelines and deliverables across all supporting functions.

Retail Execution & Performance

  • Work with field teams to monitor in-store compliance and close execution gaps.
  • Analyze display performance using point-of-sale, shipment, and compliance data.
  • Apply insights and emerging display trends to improve future programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in CPG display execution, trade marketing, retail activation, visual merchandising, or sales operations.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating display programs in major channels (Mass, Office, Grocery, Club, eCommerce, Drug, Specialty).
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing sales and display performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, plus project tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or CAPM certification, or comparable project management training.
  • Experience within writing instruments, stationery, office supplies, or adjacent categories.
  • Knowledge of retailer systems (Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online, Amazon Vendor Central, etc.).
  • Familiarity with display manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers.
  • Strong understanding of seasonal reset cycles (Back-to-School, Holiday, Everyday).
