About The Role

FTI Consulting's Technology Consulting practice is seeking a skilled Director with experience providing customized programming solutions to solve client needs of first impression. Our Forensic Automation and Cognitive Technology Services teams are built to streamline digital investigations, enhance electronic evidence discovery, and accelerate decision-making across forensic, legal, and investigative domains. The ideal candidate will have a combination of background and experiences across information governance, digital forensics, electronic discovery, and data analytics. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive business growth and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to scope project goals, define success metrics, and communicate insights in a clear, compelling manner
  • Act as a forensic technology lead in delivering end-to-end machine learning and data science solutions to enterprise clients across various industries Design, develop, and deploy predictive models, statistical algorithms, and custom machine learning pipelines using customized programming techniques. Present technical findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences including C-suite stakeholders and law firm partners
  • Build reusable quantitative components, templates, and accelerators using to enable scalable delivery across client engagements
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on forensic automation and cognitive technologies

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field.
  • Fluency in Python and hands-on experience creating customized solutions leveraging advanced Python packages (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, statsmodels) Experience with APIs and ability to independently collect, integrate, and analyze data from cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Demonstrable expertise navigating cloud-based enterprise systems (e.g., M365, Google Workspace, Slack)
  • Hands-on experience developing, tuning, and validating machine learning models, including hyperparameter optimization, feature selection methods, cross-validation, error analysis, bias-variance tradeoff management, model interpretability, and robustness and performance monitoring
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align client needs with functional solutions, and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholder
  • Client-facing consulting experience
  • Experienced managing people on fast-moving, high-profile engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience in industries or services related to the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, and familiarity with forensic technology software (e.g., EnCase, Axiom, Cellebrite, NUIX, Relativity, and Reveal)
  • Fluency in R, particularly as it relates to data visualization and statistical programming
  • Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, time series, NLP, etc.) and statistical modeling

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $123,500
Maximum Pay: $182,000
