Job description


The Marketo Automation Manager for Marketo is a strategic and technical leader responsible for designing and scaling a high-performing, data-driven ABM campaign engine. This role requires deep expertise in Marketo architecture, advanced campaign development, and marketing technology integration.
You will own the end-to-end marketing automation ecosystem-leading complex campaign execution, optimizing performance, and driving measurable pipeline impact. As the subject matter expert, you'll build scalable frameworks, elevate operational maturity, and partner across marketing, sales, IT, and analytics to deliver sophisticated, personalized digital experiences.
What You'll Do
Marketing Automation Strategy & Architecture
  • Lead the design and evolution of Marketo architecture to support complex, multi-channel ABM strategies
  • Build scalable campaign frameworks, lifecycle models, lead scoring, and advanced segmentation strategies
  • Define and enforce best practices for governance, naming conventions, and system design

Advanced Marketo Execution
  • Architect, build, and optimize sophisticated Marketo programs (nurtures, triggers, scoring models, dynamic personalization)
  • Own integrations between Marketo, Salesforce, CDPs, and other martech platforms
  • Ensure high performance in email deliverability, data flows, and system automations

ABM Campaign Delivery
  • Partner with marketing and sales to execute highly targeted, account-based campaigns across channels
  • Design personalized journeys using behavioral, firmographic, and intent data
  • Scale ABM programs while maintaining precision and data integrity

Data, Analytics & Optimization
  • Collaborate with Marketing Analytics to measure campaign performance, attribution, and ROI
  • Build and automate reporting across channels and platforms
  • Drive insights to continuously optimize targeting, engagement, and conversion

Data Integrity & Compliance
  • Lead database governance, data hygiene, and lifecycle management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, CASL)
  • Implement automated processes for data validation, consent management, and audit readiness

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing automation team
  • Act as the go-to expert and advisor across marketing, IT, and external partners
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Responsibilities
What You Bring
  • 7+ years in marketing operations or marketing automation, with strong hands-on execution
  • 4+ years of deep Marketo expertise, including advanced program design and system architecture
  • Proven experience building and scaling ABM programs in a complex B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of data models, integrations, and marketing technology ecosystems
  • Experience managing databases, segmentation logic, and lifecycle frameworks
  • Ability to solve complex business challenges with technical automation solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading or mentoring marketing operations or automation teams

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Pay: $115,000.00-$125,000.00
