Role OverviewThe Staff Data Analyst is a senior individual contributor who drives advanced analytics, sets analytical standards, and partners closely with leadership to influence strategic decisions. This role goes beyond reporting to shape how data is used across the organization through deep insights, strong business context, and analytical mentorship.Key ResponsibilitiesLead complex, high-impact analyses that inform strategic and operational decisionsDefine and standardize KPIs, metrics, and analytical best practicesTranslate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approachesBuild and maintain advanced dashboards, models, and analytical frameworksPartner with executives and cross-functional leaders to guide data-driven decision-makingIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities through proactive analysisReview and elevate the work of junior and senior analysts through mentorshipImprove data quality, documentation, and metric governanceInfluence analytics roadmap and tooling decisionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in analytics or data-focused rolesAdvanced SQL and strong proficiency in Excel or similar toolsExperience with BI and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)Strong statistical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skillsProven ability to communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred ExperienceExperience with Python or R for analysisFamiliarity with data modeling and data engineering conceptsExperience working with executive stakeholdersDomain expertise (e.g., finance, HR, operations, product analytics)
