What You'll Do

The Manager will optimize security operations through advanced alert tuning and reduction initiatives. This role implements automation and AI solutions to streamline threat detection processes, serves as Tier 3 support for incident response investigations, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers actionable security metrics to leadership.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Incident Management and Security Analysis: Lead cyber security incident responders in investigation, coordination, review, closure, and reporting; oversee technical analysis of security events while coordinating incident response with internal and external teams.
  • Security Monitoring & Analysis: Provide Tier-3 support of alerts and validate tuning requests; perform alert tuning and reduction; lead automation/AI efforts to optimize security operations; ensure accurate documentation.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead 4-6 employees and contingent labor for the cyber monitoring and analysis function; manage team delivery of incident resolution, project tasks, compliance milestones, and system implementations; perform talent management functions, conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and administer administrative policies.
Qualifications
  • Team Leadership experience and initiative-driven problem solving across multiple skill sets.
  • Proven team player with ability to collaborate on long-term projects and rapid response under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SOAR, Splunk, Symantec/Netskope DLP, CrowdStrike and ability to create/tune alerts and rules independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical judgment and consultation skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Technical proficiency: advanced usage of Splunk SIEM, Splunk SOAR, CrowdStrike, Symantec/Netskope DLP; incident-response playbook development; security orchestration and automated response tools; scripting and API integration.
  • Minimum five years of hands‑on security operations experience, including expertise in at least four of the following areas: cyber threat analysis, digital forensics, incident response, application security, operating systems security, cryptographic controls, networking, programming languages.
  • Knowledge of threat actor capabilities, methodologies and motives; familiarity with computer network exploitation and attack methodologies with awareness of financial‑services industry and critical infrastructure context.
  • Shift work and willingness to work on-call for 24x7 support.

Compensation

Salary range: $132,500.00 - $218,300.00. Incentive range: 8% to 15% of base. Final base salary will be determined by skills, experience and education. Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance.
