Pay Range:
From $17.50 - $23/hour, based on experience.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Hourly Assistant Manager is responsible for attaining the sales and profit targets established for Rainbow Cone.
Responsibilities:
• Achieve sales targets
• Recognize all revenue areas & development strategies to impact sales
• Enforce and execute advertising and marketing plans, and HR and training materials
• Manage and control direct expenses
• Direct labor, food cost variances, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses
• Selection, retention, supervision, and training of all employees
• Conduct quarterly reviews
• Assist monthly meetings with supervisors to recognize opportunities
• Adhere to established training programs
• Determine advancement/termination
• Develop employees into shift managers
• Provide guidance to our talented & motivated team and lead them toward success
• Embrace our balanced corporate structure and strong, family-culture
• Enforce policies, procedures, and controls
• Ensure team complies with health regulation and certifications
  • R&M reports of the venue and equipment
  • Conduct monthly meetings with supervisors to recognize opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:
• 1-3 years of supervisory/SM experience in a restaurant or retail (restaurants preferred)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Drive-thru experience
• Demonstrated ability to direct and coach team members
• Knowledge of restaurant operations
• Multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Illinois and city of Chicago manager sanitation license
• Understanding of ice cream cycles and storage, preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. comfortably
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more
• Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
