Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to shape the future?
We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary 2 Lead teacher to join our amazing team. As a Lead teacher, you will plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with The Frog Street curriculum approach to teaching and learning, specifically for 3 year olds.

Duties for Primary 2 Lead teacher

  • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Assists in implementing the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Frog Street Curriculum
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Small World Employee Handbook.
Requirements for Lead teacher at Small World Preschool

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or an active EC-6 Certificate strongly preferred.
  • Must meet basic requirements of Texas childcare licensing.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Positive attitude and team player, we're a small group of teachers and work very closely with one another, it's important to bring a certain level of energy to campus on a daily basis.
