Job description

Job Purpose
This position is responsible for coordinating and creating proposals, including writing, research, data gathering, organizing, execution, and production. Prepare interviews and presentations, as well as marketing support, as needed.
We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented team member. Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational/time management skills are needed.
Reporting Relationships
  • The position reports to the Proposal Manager
  • Position indirectly reports to the Director(s) of Business Development and Director of Marketing & Communications
  • Reasons for indirect reporting relationship: These relationships are on a project-by-project basis.
  • Indirectly reporting to this position is/are the Marketing Intern(s)
  • Reasons for indirect reporting relationship: Marketing interns are available to support projects on which the marketing coordinator is working.
Competencies
  • Assist the Proposal Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of materials needed to pursue and win work, including:
  • Assembly and production of qualifications, proposals, and presentations
  • Completion of tasks in a fast-paced environment, adhering to proposal schedules
  • Coordination, as needed, with the internal team (Business Development, Preconstruction, Project Managers, etc.)
  • Assist in producing customized qualifications/proposals, including writing/editing text, design layouts, infographics, resumes, and custom responses as needed
  • Monitoring and maintaining standards of consistency of company brand, images, and voice
  • organization and maintenance of boilerplate, resumes, project sheets, etc.
  • This also includes maintenance of the CRM database (Unanet)
  • Develop, maintain, and support relationships with decision-makers and influencers of construction services.
  • Complete other duties as required
  • Marketing Team, Business Development Team, special events, community engagement
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, journalism or related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years in the field or related area
  • Experience in the architectural/engineering/construction industry ideal
Language Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Special Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of marketing or related fields.
Ability and willingness to learn new applications. Demonstrated creative ability. Clear and demonstrated knowledge of graphic design standards, practices, and applications. Success motivated. Willingness to support internal and external customers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, PhotoShop, Acrobat, and Illustrator). Familiar with video conferencing software (WebEx, Skype, Teams, etc.)
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Motor Vehicle report required.
Physical Demands:
Occasionally must stand, walk, sit, reach with your hands and arms, and climb and balance. Must be able to talk, hear, taste, and smell and use hands to finger, handle and feel. Seldom may have to stoop, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally may lift up to 10 lbs. The following are the vision requirements for the job: physical, close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
