About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing beauty and cosmetics organization focused on creating innovative products, engaging content, and exceptional consumer experiences. They are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to lead and expand a strategic retail partnership with Sephora and other key accounts.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded account leader with deep knowledge of Sephora operations, retail programs, product requirements, and beauty consumer trends. You will partner closely with internal teams and retail stakeholders to deliver sustainable revenue growth, strengthen brand visibility, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Account Strategy & Retail Partnership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to achieve sales targets and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for Sephora, building productive partnerships with retail contacts and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities and risks through a strong understanding of retailer programs, initiatives, and performance trends; convert insights into actionable growth plans.
  • Drive incremental brand visibility across retail stores and e-commerce channels.
  • Lead retailer meeting coordination, including calendar management, agenda development, presentation preparation, and follow-up actions.
  • Partner with senior leadership on market-week planning, key account presentations, and strategic business reviews.
  • Support account budget planning and measure investment effectiveness and return on investment.

SKU & Data Governance

  • Maintain complete and accurate product information across retailer portals and content-management platforms.
  • Ensure product documentation, regulatory information, and retailer requirements are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Conduct regular audits to validate SKU attributes, pricing, and account data.
  • Manage and maintain pricing lists across domestic and international retail partners.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, launch results, and market trends using internal and external reporting tools.
  • Identify performance drivers, business risks, and growth opportunities; present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Conduct multidimensional business analyses to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Track new product launch performance and share timely insights with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Deliver clear, concise business updates through reports, presentations, and recurring account reviews.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of account management or sales experience within the beauty, cosmetics, or consumer products industry.
  • Direct Sephora experience or a strong working knowledge of Sephora's account operations is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales objectives and driving sustained account growth.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of beauty market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM or retailer management platforms.
  • Strategic, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a high degree of ownership, flexibility, and attention to detail.
