IT Manager IV - EAS Foundry

What you'll do:
The IT Manager IV - Microsoft Foundry Development provides technical and strategic leadership for the design, development, and support of AI-powered solutions built on the Microsoft Foundry platform. This role, which is a key leadership position within IT Enterprise Application Services (EAS) department, leads cross-functional teams responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and compliant AI applications, agents, and automation capabilities that align with business objectives and enterprise technology standards. The position partners closely with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Data Governance, and Risk teams to drive innovation, establish development standards, and ensure responsible AI practices across the organization. The IT Manager IV oversees the Microsoft Foundry development roadmap, evaluates emerging AI technologies, and promotes operational excellence through effective governance, platform management, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates with critical business and technology partners to solve complex challenges, advance strategic initiatives, establish engineering best practices, and drive the successful delivery of AI-enabled solutions. Additionally, the IT Manager IV develops executive presentations, technical documentation, and strategic communications that clearly articulate technology roadmaps, architectural decisions, recommendations, and business outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Create and implement safety procedures and data recovery plans. Develop user manuals, as well as policies, procedures, and safety protocols for presentation to larger IT and the enterprise.
  • Partner with IT Leadership to build a strategic plan to drive employee development, retention, resource allocation, talent management, performance management, and achieve a diverse and engaged workforce as well as recruit, train, and evaluate staff members work.
  • :Work with IT Leadership in the preparation and management of the annual budget, business cases, execution plans, and operating plans for their team as well as resource allocation to achieve established program priorities.
  • Ensure adequate risk management and cyber security processes and controls are established and maintained in alignment with the risk appetite for the Bank, as well as regulatory and enterprise risk management expectations.
  • Lead the strategy, implementation, adoption, and operational management of the Microsoft Foundry platform and associated AI development capabilities across the enterprise.
  • Establish and manage a federated AI development model that enables business and technology teams to build, deploy, and support AI solutions while adhering to enterprise governance standards.
  • Drive platform maturity, roadmap planning, service offerings, and lifecycle management for Foundry-based capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, copilots, prompt orchestration, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
  • Serve as the senior technology leader responsible for the Foundry platform's reliability, scalability, security, supportability, and regulatory compliance.

What you'll need:
  • 8+ years of related experience in IT--App Support, IT--Development, IT--Networking or similar field.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or intelligent automation initiatives.
  • Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, semantic search, and agentic AI solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced experience in managing multiple technology teams (Application Engineering Support and Delivery, Infrastructure Engineering Support and Delivery, Architecture, or Project Management) including additional responsibility for the execution of KPIs and timelines.
  • Advanced experience with the execution KPIs and timelines with proven ability to analyze a variety of data and summarize findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums. Utilize data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth by collaborating with business and tech leads.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
