We're looking for a Guest Relations Manager (Security Manager) to lead the safety and security operations of our hotel. We're searching for someone with strong leadership, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to creating a safe, welcoming environment for our guests, residents, and team members.

The Opportunity

As our Guest Relations Manager (Security Manager), you'll oversee all aspects of hotel security, emergency preparedness, and risk management while fostering a culture of safety across the property. You'll partner closely with operational leaders to ensure our guests enjoy an experience that feels effortless, secure, and uniquely The Standard.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Security department, ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the property.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Manage and mentor the Security team, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and exceptional service, and continuous learning through structured training and development programs.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and security audits to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Investigate security incidents, prepare detailed reports, preserve evidence, and coordinate follow-up actions as required.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities when necessary.
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and life safety requirements.
  • Oversee CCTV systems, access control, key management, and other security technologies.
  • Lead emergency responses efforts, including fire safety procedures, evacuation drills, crisis management, and business continuity planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness through training and ongoing communication with all team members.
Qualifications

What You´ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Guest Relations Manager (Security Manager) or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel, lifestyle hospitality brand, or high-end mixed-use property.
  • Demonstrated experience in hotel security risk management, including risk assessments, regulatory compliance, audit support, corporate security standards implementation, and fire and life safety program oversight.
  • Demonstrate experience in security operations leadership, including security metrics and KPI management, data-driven decision making, workplace violence prevention and crisis management when required.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel security operations, emergency response procedures, and risk management practices.
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Solid understanding of local safety regulations, fire and life safety standards, and security best practices.
  • Experience with CCTV systems, access control technologies, and incident reporting systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all departments.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with an international clientele and diverse workforce.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive situations.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating safe, memorable guest experiences.
