Please note: These positions are based on need and availability. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
NC State's University Theatre is currently looking for a Shop Technician that will assist the Costume Shop, Scene Shop, or Electrics Shop Manager with the execution of designs in the respective shops on an as-needed basis. 
Costume Shop Duties include: sewing (by machine and by hand), alterations, repairs, ironing, laundry, fittings, costume crafts, and other assignments based upon skill set and shop needs. 
Scene Shop Duties include: safe use of power and hand tools, basic carpentry and construction, painting, re-furbishing and refinishing of furniture and set pieces, upholstery, and other assignments based upon skill set and shop needs. 
Electrics Shop duties include: hanging, focusing, or striking of lighting fixtures, installation of temporary show related lighting, sound or special effects, repair or maintenance of lighting, sound and/or projection equipment, and other assignments based upon skill set and shop needs.
