The Risk Product team is dedicated to safeguarding BILL's ecosystem, enabling innovative and trustworthy payment solutions for customers, and driving business growth in a dynamic regulatory landscape. As Lead Product Manager on the team you will leverage your expertise to shape the future of risk management including credit, fraud, and compliance products, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to design, launch, and optimize impactful solutions. This role offers the opportunity to drive key initiatives, influence organizational strategy, and ensure our products not only meet-but set-industry standards for security, reliability, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for BILL's core risk decisioning and policy engine, enabling real-time, low-latency automated evaluations across fraud, credit, and compliance use cases
  • Define the technical architecture for internal APIs, platform services, and data pipelines that power risk evaluation, ensuring the platform scales reliably with BILL's growing transaction volume and product surface
  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing and launching features that proactively address emerging risks and evolving requirements
  • Serve as the translation layer between risk policy goals and deep engineering execution, working directly with data scientists, security engineers, and data architects to align technical implementation with business outcomes
  • Analyze market, regulatory, and internal data to identify patterns, opportunities, and vulnerabilities, transforming insights into product enhancements
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, risk business owners, operations, customer experience, legal, and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope
  • Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs
  • Monitor product performance, implement metrics, and iterate solutions based on user feedback and operational results
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing across teams to elevate BILL's risk and compliance practices

We'd love to chat if you have:

  • 6+ Years of demonstrated experience in product management, particularly driving complex fraud, credit, and compliance initiatives in payments or financial services
  • 6+ years of proven track record of launching Risk controls across the lifecycle onboarding, monitoring, identity, and profile management to support business unit goals across credit, fraud, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to leverage data and exercise sound judgment to inform decisions and resolve ambiguity
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to translate business objectives and user needs into actionable product plans, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
