The Role at a Glance
This position will consult/analyze and deliver on assignments and projects supporting Lincoln Financial's risk management technology capabilities. The role will partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate business needs into requirements, support system implementation and testing activities, analyze impacts to business processes and data, and contribute to the delivery of scalable, well-controlled solutions that support hedging, valuation, credit risk, and risk analytics functions. They will also act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
• Works under limited supervision on more complex assignments, projects, and initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility, exercising judgment in analysis, problem solving, and execution, with work reviewed at key milestones and decision points.
• Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
• Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Prepares and communicates technical documents, technical designs, unit tests, implementation plans, presentations, and communications to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders and facilitates information flow across business and technology functions, helping drive alignment, issue resolution, and execution of project deliverables. Works closely with key stakeholders to anticipate and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks while supporting successful delivery of business and technology initiatives.
• Partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, analyze, document, and translate business, functional, system, and data requirements supporting hedging, valuation, credit risk, and risk analytics technology solutions.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of hedging and risk management systems, business processes, data flows, model inputs, reporting outputs, and operational workflows to support analysis, implementation, and issue resolution activities.
• Analyzes the impacts of system enhancements, assumption changes, new products, new funds, market data updates, valuation methodology changes, and hedging strategy initiatives across processes, models, data, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Supports solution implementation activities by participating in requirements reviews, design discussions, system enhancements, and coordination efforts among business stakeholders, model owners, and technology teams.
• Supports testing and validation activities for system enhancements and projects, including test planning, test case preparation, test execution, results analysis, defect identification, issue resolution, and validation of business outcomes.
• Supports SOX control execution, evidence collection, testing documentation, change management controls, and audit activities for assigned risk analytics and technology platforms.
• Prepares reports, dashboards, analysis, and presentations that support business, actuarial, risk management, and technology stakeholders in decision making, implementation activities, and operational monitoring.
What we're looking for
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required)
• 3 - 5+ Years of experience in actuarial, business analysis, data management, risk technology, systems implementation, or related functions within financial services that directly align with the responsibilities of this position. (Required)
• Experience supporting annuity, life insurance, valuation, hedging, risk management, or related insurance business functions through technology, data, reporting, or operational processes. (Preferred)
• Demonstrates proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python for data validation, querying, and analysis in support of data integrity and requirements verification activities.
• Maintains familiarity with actuarial and risk management models, including how inforce data, market data, and actuarial assumptions influence valuation, risk analytics, and hedging results.
• Familiarity with GAAP and STAT reserve concepts as they apply to annuity and life insurance product valuation.
• Familiarity with hedging concepts and risk sensitivities, including the use of option Greeks within variable annuity and indexed product hedging programs.

The pay range for this position is $79,601 - $145,100 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
