Job Summary:
The Associate Director, Data Analytics defines and executes study-level data and analytics strategies for monitoring clinical study conduct and performance. This position leads the analytics team and collaborates cross-functionally to transform complex data into meaningful, decision-ready insights. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and continuous enhancement of the clinical data analytics platform to provide clinical and operational insights within each study and across studies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the clinical study level data and analytics strategy to align with clinical development and operational objectives.
  • Establish standards for data integration, metric definition, visualization design, and reporting consistency across studies.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the clinical analytics platform (using, e.g., Power BI or other visualization tools).
  • Lead cross-functional consensus on key metrics and supervise dashboard development to ensure usability, scalability, and relevance to each clinical study.
  • Drive automation and optimization of analytics workflows to reduce manual reporting.
  • Deliver study-level analytics that support risk-based monitoring (RBM), data quality oversight, enrollment tracking, protocol compliance, and operational performance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced analytics and visualization techniques.
  • Manage and/or mentor team members in data visualization best practices, analytical methodologies, and business communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • N/A.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with at least 9 years OR Bachelor's degree with at least 11 years of experience in clinical and/or operational data analytics.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI for enterprise-level data visualization (experience with other tools such as Tableau is a plus); proficiency in SQL and/or statistical programming (e.g., R, SAS) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven experience building centralized data warehouse systems that store and integrate large volumes of structured data from multiple sources (e.g., EDC systems, CTMS, Safety databases).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop analytics teams while driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
  • Experience with automation, predictive analytics, or AI/ML applications is a plus.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

Compensation:
At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $160,000 to $185,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.
You also will be able to participate in a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to: health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401k company match, company paid life insurance and health and wellness benefits. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards, employee stock purchase programs and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
