GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Risk & Accreditation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organization's risk management, patient safety, corporate compliance, Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), accreditation, and regulatory readiness programs. This position supports organization-wide efforts to ensure compliance with HRSA Health Center Program requirements, FTCA deeming requirements, federal and state regulations, and accreditation standards. Working collaboratively with organizational leadership, the Risk & Accreditation Manager coordinates accreditation and survey readiness activities; develops and implements compliance, risk management, safety, and emergency preparedness workplans; supports board and committee reporting; and assists with maintaining compliance with credentialing and accreditation requirements, including but not limited to HRSA, FTCA, CARF, NCQA, CCBHC, and Joint Commission standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible healthcare experience, including at least three years in compliance, risk management, quality, patient safety, accreditation, or a related healthcare leadership role.
  3. Knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, patient safety, accreditation, HIPAA, FTCA, HRSA Health Center Program requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with proven ability to author effective policies and procedures.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and foster collaboration amongst diverse work groups.
  6. Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple activities and tasks.
  7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with corporate leaders and other staff persons. Strong customer service, patient advocacy, and team orientation philosophy of care.
  8. Systems thinker with good analytic and problem solving skills.
  9. Self-starter with ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
  10. Strong computer skills with experience in working with electronic data and reporting systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), or other safety-net healthcare organization.
  2. Compliance/risk certification (CHC, CPHRM, CPHQ, CPPS)
  3. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
