What is a manager of remote threat intelligence?

A Manager of Remote Threat Intelligence is a cybersecurity professional responsible for overseeing teams that identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats from a remote location. This role involves leading threat intelligence operations, coordinating with other security teams, and ensuring the timely dissemination of actionable intelligence to protect an organization's digital assets. Managers in this field must stay updated on emerging cyber threats, manage threat detection tools and processes, and often work with both internal and external stakeholders. The remote aspect of the job allows them to lead and collaborate with distributed teams across various locations.

How does a manager of remote threat intelligence typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen an organization's security posture?

A Manager of Remote Threat Intelligence often works closely with incident response, security operations, IT, and executive teams to share timely threat insights and recommend proactive measures. Collaboration usually involves leading regular threat briefings, facilitating intelligence sharing platforms, and developing actionable reports that inform security policies and response strategies. These managers play a key role in translating technical threat intelligence into clear, business-relevant advice, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned in mitigating risks. Their remote setup requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate efforts across different time zones and departments.
