Summary

KEMET Electronics / YAGEO Group is seeking a Distribution Development Representative in the Boston, MA area to support the New England market. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within the hightech sales environment. It is ideal for individuals looking to advance into broader sales responsibilities. 

You will experience a fastpaced environment and gain exposure to cuttingedge technologies—many of which the general public never sees. Our customers design a wide range of electronic products, including robotics, missiles, medical devices, drones, and AI systems. This position focuses on managing the overall strategy and business performance with our distribution partners. You will begin with a small account base to cultivate and grow. In addition to account management, you will learn YAGEO Group’s product portfolio and applications to support customer design efforts. You will gain insight into customer design cycles, supply chain processes, and sales strategies while working closely with internal teams such as Field Application Engineers, Product Managers, Customer Service, and Sales Managers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue, design activity, and other performance goals. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to establish a Distribution Territory Strategy.
  • Maintain accountability with internal teams, customers, and distributors regarding commitments and objectives. 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with distribution branches. 
  • Build and strengthen relationships with distribution partners and customers. 
  • Provide quarterly territory market updates to distribution account managers. 
  • Identify and develop new customer engagements.   

    Required Qualifications 

    • BS in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
    • Previous sales experience is an asset.
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Ability to lead and moderate meetings.
    • Demonstrated analytical and proactive problemsolving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint emphasized).
