You will work closely with individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. The ideal candidate will hold a valid mental health counseling license and possess a proven track record in delivering effective therapy and interventions.

About the Organization

Wise Mind Psychotherapy Services is dedicated to promoting mental wellness in the Hillsboro, Oregon area. Our practice embraces a holistic approach to mental health care, ensuring that each client receives comprehensive and culturally competent treatment. Our commitment to evidence-based practices allows us to offer high-quality therapy grounded in the latest research and techniques. As part of our team, you will be aligned with our mission to foster a supportive environment conducive to healing and growth.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, providing flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere while maintaining a focus on client-centered care. Despite the remote setting, we prioritize a collaborative atmosphere and promote regular virtual team meetings to ensure effective communication and support among counselors. The outpatient nature of our practice requires your dedication to providing virtual therapy sessions, maintaining a professional yet compassionate presence, and actively engaging with clients in a secure digital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments through teletherapy to determine clients' mental health status and therapy needs.
  • Develop individualized therapeutic plans, employing evidence-based techniques and integrating client feedback for optimal effectiveness.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions focused on skill-building, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.
  • Facilitate referrals to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or nutritionists, as needed.
  • Document client progress and all treatment interactions thoroughly in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring the preservation of patient confidentiality.
  • Engage in continuous education, attending training and workshops to stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and develop collaborative strategies for challenging client situations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wise Mind, you will primarily work with adults who are navigating mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. Our diverse clientele reflects the vibrant community in Hillsboro and encompasses a wide range of backgrounds, requiring you to apply cultural competence in your therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
  • At least four years of professional experience in a mental health counseling setting, with demonstrable outcomes in client care.
  • A solid understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and culturally responsive treatment methods.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor when managing challenging scenarios.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology for effective service delivery.
  • Commitment to adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining professional boundaries in all interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing virtual therapy services and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
  • Membership in professional organizations related to mental health counseling or therapy.
  • Training or certification in specialized therapy techniques is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Wise Mind Psychotherapy Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Healthcare benefits, covering medical, dental, and vision expenses.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to support your long-term financial goals.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) along with paid holidays to promote work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development to help you grow in your career.
  • An upfront commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
