Forte Psychotherapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families dealing with various mental health challenges, particularly mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. In this remote position, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals within an outpatient setting that prioritizes accessibility and effective communication. Our therapists enjoy flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This arrangement fosters work-life balance while still allowing for close communication and teamwork through virtual platforms. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients, focusing on the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and personal goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support client progress.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Consistently monitor client progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs.
• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapy effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to foster both individual and collective growth.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma associated with mental health challenges.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele often includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, including homeless populations, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your support will be vital in helping these clients navigate their struggles and achieve greater emotional stability and resilience.

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport with clients.
• A strong sense of empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle a diverse caseload while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Previous experience working with clients suffering from mood disorders, trauma, or addiction.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly in remote settings.
• Experience in conducting group therapy or workshops focusing on mental health awareness.
