Essential Job Duties
Join a collaborative community of instructors and help learners across and beyond NC State apply data science and AI in meaningful, real-world ways.
The Data Science and AI Academy offers courses grounded in our ADAPT (All Campus Data Science and AI Project-based Teaching and Learning) course model. We seek instructors from industry, government and academia to teach permanent and special topics undergraduate courses at the 200 - 295 level (no prerequisites), 400 - 495 level (skills-based prerequisites) and graduate level courses at the 500 - 595 level.
As an instructor with The Data Science and AI Academy,you will also join a professional teaching community that meets twice monthly to discuss data science and AI teaching and learning research and practice.
The DSA occasionally offers not-for-credit customized courses through the Data and AI at Work program. We also seek applicants to teach these professional, customized and continuing education courses. The for-credit courses meet for 50 minutes once a week for a semester and can be delivered in person or online. Data and AI at Work (not-for-credit) courses have a customized schedule.
