Definition

The Project Manager (PM) is the single point of contact for all aspects of assigned flooring projects, from initial handoff of project to final closeout and invoicing. Plans, coordinates, schedules and oversees all elements of a project, ensuring performance quality, customer satisfaction, and on budget projects

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a direct line of communication to all our customers as it relates to scheduling.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for communication with the warehouse and all material delivery needs.
  • Help to establish, develop, and maintain the desired levels of customer satisfaction for each project.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to the finance team to assure forecasted invoicing is met each month.
  • Attending project meetings as required.
  • Perform site visits as required.
  • Be familiar with all contract agreements between the client and Red Thread.
  • Ensure that all punch-list items have been resolved and orders closed out for invoicing in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in networking events as required to enhance the customer experience.
  • Pursue further knowledge of the best products and practices through FUSE seminars and vendor trainings.
  • Ensures that each project is completed on schedule, that the quality meets all standards, that the projected profit levels are maintained or improved, and that the customer is completely satisfied.
  • Serves as primary liaison with the GC project manager and or direct end user customer.
  • Reviews all project manuals, plans and specifications to identify any unfamiliar material
  • Conducts site visits or coordinates visits by the installation manager to verify conditions and note any unusual floor prep issues or site issues that affect flooring installation.
  • Attends subcontractor meetings to communicate pertinent details
  • Maintains documentation of moisture readings of all locations of project
  • Keep track of any changes in the plans from architect and GC.
  • Maintain current set of plans on hand.
  • Manage materials onsite - prepare attic stock counts and ensure extra items returned to warehouse to be put into inventory

Closeout:

  • Walks project and develops punch list; is responsible for punch list resolution.
  • Manages all final project closeout requirements including lien waivers releases, contract requirements and client sign-offs.
  • Confirms project completion and ensures all invoicing is timely and accurate.

Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of Project Management Experience within construction management, architecture & design or similar (flooring Industry a plus).
  • Management of moderate to large scale projects with an emphasis on cost effectiveness, accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Experience with trouble shooting product installation challenges in the field
  • PC skills - Intermediate level with MS Office, Procore, Project Sight
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve site issues
  • Is a team player that possesses solid communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Innovative, creative, proactive and flexible; can multi-task

Level of Education

  • B.A./B.S. degree
Salary Range:  $75k-$90k (based on experience). Plus bonus.
