Job Description
  • Responsible for receiving and reviewing prescription prior-authorization requests from contracted providers via telephone, fax, email, or surface mail. 
  • Responsible for providing general PA information requests via telephone, fax, email, or surface mail to providers, members, and/or clients and initiating information requests from providers when additional information is required to adjudicate a prior authorization request. 
  • Assist pharmacies, if needed, in resolving obstacles for a PA related medication. 
  • Responsible for accurate and timely data entry of prior-authorization requests within the systems. 
  • Identified, reports, and escalates any complaints to immediate manager. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected member medical information.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Must have clear and active Pharm Tech license in the state of IN
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharm Tech
  • Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
