Job description

Registered Nurse (RN)

At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Neurology Department is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice.

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
  • Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
  • Prepare Botox injections.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing.
  • Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication.
  • Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling of tests/procedures, referral appointments as needed, changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills.
  • Cross train for IV infusion therapy as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license is required.
  • Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred.
  • BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
