Job Summary:

Join Civeo Canada's Corporate IT team as a Systems Analyst and play a critical role in supporting the technology that keeps our business running. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global IT and Cybersecurity Operations, you will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and maintaining server infrastructure to ensure maximum system availability, security, and performance. Working collaboratively with teams across the organization, you'll analyze technical requirements, develop innovative solutions, and provide exceptional support to users while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our global IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage solutions, and networking components.ย 

  • Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement necessary upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.ย 
  • Analyze system requirements and develop detailed specifications for server configurations and enhancements.ย 
  • Collaborate with application developers and teams to support system integrations and resolve server-related issues.ย 
  • Implement security measures and best practices to protect server environments from unauthorized access and data breaches.ย 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.ย 
  • System migrations, upgrades, and implementations with minimal downtime.ย 
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in server administration and system analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft Cloud platforms; Azure, O365, Entra.
  • 5+ years of experience in server, network and systems administration.
  • Strong expertise in server operating systems (Windows Server, Hyper-V, Linux, etc.).ย 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or similar) are a plus.ย 
  • Solid understanding of networking principles, firewalls, and DNS management.ย 
  • Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.ย 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsย
