Job description

Job Summary:

Hyspeco, Inc. is seeking a Power Platform Administrator to own the strategy, governance, and day-to-day management of our Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This role will serve as the primary administrator for the platform — building and maintaining scalable data models and reports, enforcing governance and security standards, and enabling business units across our multi-site operations to make faster, better-informed decisions through self-service analytics and low-code applications.

Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Administer and govern the Power Platform environment, including environment strategy, licensing, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and access controls

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models that support operations, finance, sales, and supply chain reporting

  • Manage and optimize the organization's Microsoft Fabric workspace, including data pipelines, lake houses, and integration with existing data sources

  • Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that streamline business processes and reduce manual work

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs

  • Partner with business stakeholders across departments and locations to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Power Platform solutions

  • Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across the platform, including alignment with company IT security policies

  • Monitor platform performance, usage, and licensing, and make recommendations for optimization and cost management

  • Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end users and citizen developers across the organization

  • Stay current on Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric roadmap changes and evaluate new features for organizational fit

  • Collaborate with the broader IT team on data security, network, and infrastructure considerations that intersect with the Power Platform environment

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and building solutions in Power BI, with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, or Power Automate

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, including writing and troubleshooting queries against production data sources

  • Experience with data modeling, DAX, and building semantic/reporting layers for business consumption

  • Understanding of Power Platform governance, security, and DLP policy configuration

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) as it relates to platform access, roles, and permissions

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently across multiple business units

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Microsoft certification(s) such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals), or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer)

  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics needs in a distribution, manufacturing, or multi-site industrial environment

  • Familiarity with NIST-based security frameworks or compliance requirements relevant to government or regulated contracts

  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with ERP systems (e.g., ERP/EDI data sources)

  • Prior experience in a team-lead or project-management capacity for data or automation initiatives
