Overview

Responsibilities

As an Analyst in the Performance Group, you will support production, review, and analysis of investment performance for NISA's portfolios as well as maintaining the performance data required to claim compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). You will learn the calculation and composite workflows, partner with Senior Analysts and Managers, and collaborate with Portfolio Management, Client Services, and other cross functional groups to deliver investment performance and analytics on a wide array of investment strategies.

Responsibilities include:

    Run daily, monthly, and quarterly performance production for assigned portfolios and composites
  • Investigate routine exceptions and escalate substantive items to Senior Analysts and Managers
  • Support composite maintenance and related documentation
  • Use workflows in EAGLE, Vermilion, K2, and NISA's web-based Performance Portal to audit and report performance; learn the upstream and downstream system context
  • Contribute to performance documentation, procedures, and SharePoint content
  • Contribute and/or support senior members with quantitative analysis
  • Perform ad hoc analysis or develop rapid response solutions to problems or processes
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving various NISA workstreams by providing business requirements, contributing to the solutions, and effectively communicating with highly technical peers, project managers, and performance analysts
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and firmwide priorities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from a four-year college or university or relevant industry related experience
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience; investment performance, operations, or analytical internships preferred
  • Basic understanding of investment products, financial markets, and investments
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint; openness to performance platforms (EAGLE Performance System is preferred), Vermilion, and AI-assisted tools used within firm controls
  • Experience or interest in learning technologies for statistical analysis and data management (Excel VBA, SQL, etc.)
  • Achieved or willing to work toward a professional designation is preferred (i.e. CFA, CIPM, CAIA, etc.)
