This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure who is interested in expanding into Data Engineering while supporting a modern data ecosystem.

You will work closely with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to maintain reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure, improve platform operations, and contribute to data pipeline development and platform tooling.
The interview process will include multiple rounds of virtual interviews. Candidates who advance to the final stage will be required to participate in an onsite interview at the San Diego Studio.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with vendor and platform partner relationships.
  • Contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, operational support, and reliability improvements.

Infrastructure & DevOps

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Improve environment provisioning and configuration management across development and production environments.
  • Support CI/CD workflows for infrastructure and platform deployments.
  • Implement and maintain operational best practices for cloud infrastructure.

Data Platform & Engineering Support

  • Support development and maintenance of data pipelines and integrations using Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services such as API Gateway, EC2, DynamoDB, and Glue.
  • Assist with data quality validation, testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to support analytics, machine learning, and telemetry initiatives.
  • Contribute to platform tooling and process improvements that increase team productivity and reliability.

Cost & Operational Governance

  • Support cloud cost management through resource tagging, budgeting, usage monitoring, and optimization efforts.
  • Assist with rightsizing compute, storage, and workload configurations.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
