  • Conducting thorough assessments of patients to identify their rehabilitation needs and objectives.
  • Developing tailored treatment plans using a diverse range of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic techniques.
  • Performing hands-on therapies and exercises that enhance clients' mobility while minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
  • Monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of services and patient responses.
  • Motivating patients through their rehabilitation process, measuring their progress, and helping them achieve their personal health goals.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Fostering a supportive environment to promote healthy lifestyle choices that enhance strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
  • Managing an expected patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality interaction and treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work at Periscope will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will engage with diverse age groups, including active adults and seniors, each with unique challenges and rehabilitation goals. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on your patients’ recovery experiences, helping them regain independence and achieve their personal best.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California, with a clean record that reflects no board actions or disciplinary measures.
  • Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise development.
Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings, demonstrating proficiency in tailored patient care strategies and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software platforms, particularly WebPT. The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team is essential, as is the passion for continuous professional development in physical therapy practices.
