About the Department
The BSD is the largest academic unit within the University. The BSD is comprised of faculty from ten basic science departments, 13 clinical departments, and several Centers and Institutes. The approximately 1,300 faculty and 3,000 staff members working in the BSD collaborate across the organization to achieve our Mission, Vision, and Values (MVV):

Job Summary
Responsibilities
Standardized Patient (SP) Training and Program Management
Recruit, screen, train, and supervise standardized patients according to methodological standards.
Develop training manuals/aids and event guides for event managers, proctors, and SPs for events.
Anticipate and initiate planning/preparations for complex, detailed projects and execute logistical management for Clinical Performance Center program events, including but not limited to, sessions related to Clinical Skills & Reasoning I-IV courses; clerkship OSCEs; CPX; faculty development programs; and UC Simulation events.
Assist in the development and refinement of new student events and programs, including related materials (educational, assessment, training) and administrative protocols for standardized patient units.
CPC Management
Leads the administration of CPC activities and ensure program development and implementation aligns with goals of Pritzker curriculum.
Manage session logistics and SimIQ, online video capture storage system and assessment tool, for all medical students, participating faculty members, and troubleshoot CPC AV system, and computers as needed.
Oversee SP quality assurance through monitoring activities and implementation of strategies for improvement/correction.
Identify and implement technological improvements as related to student and faculty use of the CPC.
Maintain SP database and records, CPC Canvas site, CPC calendar, and spreadsheets recording information regarding all SP and simulation events.
Administrative Duties
Provide administrative support at Clinical Skills Committee meetings.
Pursue continued professional development in the field of SP methodology.
Assist in managing SP laundry and ordering necessary office supplies.
Conducts research and development of curriculum, models, and best practices in the field of education. May work with school leadership teams to support school planning processes including needs assessments, goal setting, strategic planning, and determining strategies for curriculum selection and professional development. May lead the implementation of professional development workshops and individualized coaching efforts for principals, teachers, and other school staff.
Plays a role in program evaluation and improvement efforts.
Performs other related work as needed.

Master's degree strongly preferred.

2 years administrative experience in student affairs administration.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (students, CPC staff, faculty, PSOM staff, and SPs).
Excellent project management and administrative skills with demonstrated skill in multi-tasking complex projects and follow-through to accurate completion.
Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, manage stressful situations, and work multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to effectively lead, motivate, engage, and influence diverse group of part-time employees.
Ability to work independently while possessing demonstrated ability to work alongside faculty and senior staff in a 'matrixed' rather than 'siloed' organization.
