Purpose
  • The Project Subcontracts Manager leads the management and execution of subcontracting activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring that subcontracts are awarded, administered, and closed out in alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement subcontracting strategies to optimize project outcomes, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Maintain subcontractor relationships, ensuring open communication to address challenges and drive effective collaboration.
  • Lead project subcontract negotiations, securing favorable terms and conditions that mitigate risks and protect the organization’s interests.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all subcontracts are administered in line with legal, regulatory, and company requirements, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing guidance on subcontracting matters and supporting the resolution of disputes or issues.
Education
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in subcontract management within the Oil & Gas industry, including complex offshore or onshore projects, with strong negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subcontracting principles, contract law, and industry practices.
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is preferred.
