A Snapshot of your day
As Project Installation & Commissioning Manager (Project ICM) your strategic role is to coordinate the Installation & Commissioning phase of the complete project scope of supply, from Project Handover until Project Execution Closure. The projects typically include Power generation equipment but also, from case to case, can include GT driven Compression applications and 3 rd party scope
You will lead the installation and commissioning activities for the project in such way that it leads to customer satisfaction and fulfilment of the goals set out by contract, budget, directives and commitments.
You will be involved in several projects in the Region Americas and work from out of our Orlando office.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • You are assigned to several projects in the Americas and in this role, you support the Global Project Manager(s) in leading the negotiations and the execution of the Installation & Commissioning (I&C) contracts.
  • In case of offshore projects, you monitor and follow up all activities carried out in the construction yards by which you safeguard the correct understanding of the status when the equipment arrives in Region America.
  • You monitor the (I&C) budget, assess deviations from the contractual scope of supply and performance. Follow up and forecast time and cost according to plan. You provide this information to the Global Project managers as input for their management reporting.
  • Based on the I&C schedule, you forecast, plan and reserve Field service Resources (internal/external (vendors)) to support the Installation and Commissioning scheduled activities. You safeguard continuously communication with the Resource providing locations and vendors.
  • You support in acquiring all local required documents such as Visa's, Work-permits, Sea passports, and carry out mobilisation briefings for new Field service Resources prior to their mobilisation to site. You pay regular visits to site.
  • You safeguard the compliance with the local applicable Environment protection, Health management, and Safety (EHS) procedures as covered under the scope of supply.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, (or foreign degree equivalent) with between 4 + years track record of Site Supervisory Management in the Oil & Gas Industry in a similar position, where Installation & Commissioning as well onshore as Offshore of "Rotating Equipment" has been the focal point.
  • In-depth Gas Turbine experience. Experience in Gas Turbine driven Centrifugal compression applications is an advantage.
  • Proven strong leadership skills with decision-making and multi-task abilities to maintain and complete the I&C activities within Time, Material and Budget.
  • You are a Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills with Cross regional teams involved. Good in verbal- and written communication in English.
