About the Role Are you a proactive safety leader ready to drive a strong safety culture across major infrastructure and heavy civil projects? We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager based in Texarkana, TX, to lead field safety operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance. In this high-impact role, you will protect our crews, subcontractors, and communities across Arkansas, Texas and neighboring states while shaping company-wide safety strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive company-wide safety policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Jobsite Oversight & Audits: Conduct regular field safety inspections and site audits to ensure full compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
  • Training & Engagement: Lead dynamic safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors; facilitate daily toolbox talks and ongoing safety meetings.
  • Incident Management: Direct investigations for accidents, incidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and execute effective corrective action plans.
  • Preconstruction Planning: Partner with project management during preconstruction to identify potential hazards early and implement proactive risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Metrics & Compliance: Track safety performance metrics, maintain accurate documentation, enforce PPE compliance, and report directly to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of construction safety management experience on commercial, industrial, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • Certifications: OSHA-10 certification and strong OSHA regulatory knowledge required; MSHA knowledge is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications.
  • Travel & Licensing: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 3–4 days per week across Arkansas, Texas and neighboring states.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk active construction sites across uneven terrain.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
