Job description

Job Description:

  • Conduct behavioral based safety observations
  • Participate in daily JSEA planning discussion.
  • A member of the construction team reporting to the Danos Scaffold Supervisor.
  • Perform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
  • Performs on site supervision (for smaller projects), preparing documentation i.e. sign-offs, work authorizations, pickup tickets, JSEA, and safety plans.
  • Scaffold Leadermen will be working “on their tools”, and manage smaller projects.
  • Coordinating timely pickups for dismantles and deliveries for erections for smaller projects.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Scaffold Operations Manager, Scaffold Project Manager, or Scaffold Supervisor.
  • Supervises and leads in the erecting and dismantling of all forms of access including but not limited to: System Scaffold and Tube and Clamp Scaffolding.
  • Climb and work in high places that may exceed 200’ in height, restricted spaces, places hanging over water (Offshore Personnel) and in confined spaces.
  • Assist construction personnel with various projects including but not limited to:
    1. Rig equipment loads and complete various construction projects
    2. Assist in the assembly of pipe spools, by bolt up flange connections
    3. Assist crane operator with equipment and material movement on the platform
    4. Coordinate crane activity for transport of material to work site with ability to properly rig equipment such as slings and cables
    5. Assist welders and fitters with assembly of pipe & pipe fittings
    6. Firewatch

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of Scaffolding experience on offshore or land/plant/refinery jobs.
  • Must have valid TWIC card
  • Must have own tools.General knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L Regulations.
  • NCCER certification a plus
  • Offshore certifications a plusExperience using safe work habits

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates will be required to complete:

  • Written and Hands-On Scaffold Assessment
  • Written and Hands-On Rigger Assessment
  • Tropical Helicopter Underwater Egress Training THUET (Offshore Personnel)
  • Offshore Orientation Safe Gulf or Rigpass (Offshore Personnel)
  • Fall Protection with Rescue component
  • Confined Space Attendant/ Entrant with Planning
  • Incipient Fire and Firewatch
