The Opportunity: Grow Your Career.
Designs, develops and implements strategic logistics solutions to optimize the HomeGoods/HomeSense Distribution Centers. Manages a team of Industrial Engineering Managers that identify, develop and implement process improvements, engineered methods, best practices, analysis of labor/space/equipment capacities and measured labor standards to increase DC productivity and reduce cost. Ensures data integrity for incentives and accurate DC labor performance reports though labor management systems administration.
This role can be based in one of the following locations:
  • Jefferson, GA
  • Brownsburg, IN
  • Bloomfield, CT

Who We're Looking For: You.
  • Ensures best practice applications, accuracy of labor standards and soundness of industrial engineering practices to ensure that standards and methods are not only the most efficient, but to be defensible against all union challenges.
  • Maintains integrity of engineered standards in assigned DC's, and the associated function design requests for all WMS data interfaces needed to accurately report labor activity and pay accurate incentives.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates business and engineering solutions to modify or improve existing production and processing methods (e.g., minimizing cycle time, elimination of redundant activities, assessing appropriate facility lay-outs for both new and existing DC's and assists with capacity analysis by evaluating storage and throughput capacity).
  • Manages labor, material, and process costing to support best practice recommendations and capital ROI justifications.
  • Ensures engineered methods are at a common elemental level. Oversees the development of training materials to explain and maximize detailed methods and engineered solutions.
  • Analyzes existing and anticipated logistical business constraints to develop an optimal HomeGoods/HomeSense supply chain network.
  • Collaborates with Transportation, Engineering and Distribution Center Management and travels to sites to identify, analyze and evaluate DC process design.
  • Develops and executes interim plans and methods to achieve optimal network design and evaluates effectiveness.
  • Manages a team of 3-6 IE Managers. Establishes departmental goals and individual objectives and makes decisions and recommendations regarding various human resources functions to include recruitment, compensation, performance management, training, development and associate relations.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering discipline preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Willingness to travel 25%-75%.
  • Must have experience with implementing and maintaining labor management and warehouse management systems.
  • Certified in one or more standard data work measurement techniques (MOST, MTM, MSD, Ease, etc)

This position has a starting salary range of $131,100.00 to $170,400.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
