Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide leadership and technical oversight for engineering services under contract at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating closely with program leadership to deliver high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership ability, and the capacity to manage both people and processes in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering tasks associated with planning, design, construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, support structures, and work sites in support of the contract.
  • As an Engineering Manager at MSFC, you will play a pivotal role in advancing engineering solutions that support NASAโ€™s mission. This position offers the opportunity to lead a talented team of professionals, drive technical excellence, and contribute to projects that shape the future of space exploration.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, company procedures, and quality assurance requirements.

  • 8โ€“10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in project execution within aerospace, federal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, project execution procedures, and quality management practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering design processes, procurement, and construction support.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
