Overview
The Director of Product Management leads the strategy, development, launch, and lifecycle management of lottery products, with a primary focus on scratch-off games. This role is responsible for driving product innovation, optimizing portfolio performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating across Sales, Marketing, Research, and Operations to deliver engaging player experiences and business growth. The Director oversees product planning, vendor relationships, inventory management, and strategic business initiatives while leveraging market insights to maximize product success.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development and management of scratch-off game products, including artwork, prize structures, game mechanics, and print quantities.
  • Develop and execute product launch strategies that maximize player engagement and align with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure product compliance with state regulations, security requirements, and responsible gaming standards.
  • Manage product inventory and long-term portfolio planning to optimize utilization and performance.
  • Analyze product performance and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Lead responses to player feedback and escalated product-related concerns.
  • Develop product planograms and assortment strategies to support consistent retailer execution statewide.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create product training, educational materials, and promotional content.
  • Lead development of product-related business plans, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Market Research to drive product innovation and consumer insights initiatives.
  • Manage external vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and licensing agreements.
  • Oversee game file delivery, validation, and implementation within gaming systems.
  • Present product strategy, performance results, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, marketing, gaming, lottery, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading product development from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive business decisions and product strategy.
  • Experience managing vendor partnerships, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and risk management practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $96,632 - $250,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
