What You’ll Be Doing:   

Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Development, the Learning & Development Coordinator supports in the smooth delivery of learning programs across the organization. This role partners with the Learning & Development team to provide operational, logistical, and administrative support, ensuring an exceptional learning experience for all team members.

The Learning & Development Coordinator partners to coordinate training events, prepare learning materials, execute training logistics, and maintain accurate records and reporting within the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS). 

How You’ll Succeed:

  • Coordinate the scheduling of both virtual and in-person training sessions, including room bookings, meeting setup, invitations, email communication, training aids printed, and attendance tracking.
  • Manage communication with participants, facilitators, and internal partners to ensure seamless delivery of learning events.
  • Support stakeholders with logistical preparation for workshops, training sessions and development programs.
  • Prepare, print, assemble, and distribute training aids, participant guides, job aids, and other learning materials.
  • Support the Learning and Development team by formatting, proofreading, and organizing training content as required.
  • Maintain inventory of training supplies and ensure materials are ready in advance of training sessions.
  • Upload courses, training plans, and learning materials to the LMS.
  • Generate, consolidate, and distribute LMS reports, tracking key metrics such as completions and participation.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and support troubleshooting user issues within the LMS.
  • Provide support in reporting and troubleshooting in the system as needed.
  • Support the coordination of learning program evaluations, including collecting feedback and summarizing results.
  • Assist in the monitoring of learning program timelines and follow-up tasks.
  • Help ensure content stays current by flagging updates needed to training materials or LMS items, and tracking changes made.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, team meetings, and special projects as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Instructional Design, Education or a related field
  • Completion of Adult Learning Certificate is desirable.
  • 2 years’ experience in instructional design, training and/or Learning & Development support.
  • Experience in health care or other highly regulated fields considered an asset.
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills desirable.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, while working independently on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Eagerness to explore and learn new technologies that advance learning and development programming.
  • Familiarity with training tools, and experience working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience in event coordination and/or comfort with facilitating training considered an asset.

  • The salary range for this position is: $49,117 - $61,386.50
  • This is an on-site position at our Shared Support office in Markham
