Position Summary
Southland Industries is seeking an inventory control managerfor our new Mercantile Modular Solutions facility located in Ft. Worth to oversee this location's inventory by managing stock levels, optimizing storage, and ensuring the efficient use of resources. Responsibilities include analyzing data to forecast demand, creating, and enforcing policies, training staff, and reconciling discrepancies in inventory.
Position Details
  • Inventory management:Overseeing the ordering, unloading, storage, and use of materials, from raw components to finished goods.
  • Demand forecasting:Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and lead times to predict future inventory needs accurately.
  • Process optimization:Investigating inventory issues, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements to prevent future problems.
  • Team leadership:Hiring, training, and managing staff involved in inventory control.
  • Data analysis:Using tools like Excel, Power BI, WMS, etc. to analyze inventory data and report on key metrics.
  • Financial oversight:Ensuring proper internal controls and financial procedures related to inventory and cost accounting.

Qualifications
  • Experience:10+ years' experience in inventory, supply chains, and distribution is preferred.
  • Education:High school diploma plus Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Management is ideal.
